First of all, sorry about the headache with your card!
Card declines can happen for a variety of reasons. When we submit a charge from your credit or debit card to our payment processor Stripe, your bank or credit card issuer uses an automated system that determines whether or not to accept the charge. This system take various data into account, such as your spending habits, account balance, and card information like the expiration date and CVC.
To ensure that you are able to process a charge to the card, make sure that:
- The payment information (credit card number, expiration date, CVC, zip code, etc.) is all accurate.
- That you have sufficient funds in your debit card/pre-paid card if you are using one.
- That you have proper authorization from your bank or credit card issuer to process the payment with us.
Please contact your bank or credit card issuer directly if you are having any issues confirming the above.
