If you've decided to edit your maintenance page message, or the whole maintenance page, here are a few tips for what to include:

• If you know when your store will be open again, make sure to let your customers know, even if you can only guess at the month.
• If you have a good reason for being away, add it to the page. It will make your customers much less concerned if they know why you are gone.
• If at all possible, leave some kind of contact information so your customers can still reach you if they have concerns. If you can't respond very frequently, provide an estimate of how long it will take you to answer their queries.
